Class 10/14

Today we looked at facial expression! I looked at different photos, identified the emotion that we felt was being shown, and then tried to caricature it and push that expression even more.

Then, building on a previous class exercise, I used a character model sheet and drew that character with whatever facial expression was in the photo. Again, the goal was to try to push the facial expression further into a more animated look, keeping in mind the limitations and preexisting proportions of the character I was working with. I chose Gadget from the Rescue Rangers (but also played around a little bit with Zipper and Gosling from Dark Wing Duck).
